Fields of Dreams offers therapeutic sessions designed to support children experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). We believe every student who walks through our doors should feel heard and not judged.
Our Calm and Connection sessions create a safe and supportive environment that helps EBSA children gently ease back into social interaction and everyday life.
To better understand how our students may feel, we always encourage stepping into their world and meeting them there. In our experience, one of the most effective ways to do this is through sensory experiences and time spent with our animals. Our Calm and Connection sessions include cuddling or grooming the donkeys, or simply sitting quietly as they graze peacefully in the field. We take students inside the guinea pig enclosure to feed them their favourite salads or treats, or encourage them to hold the animals close for a moment of calm.

Heal With Us
All our enclosures are designed with peace and tranquillity in mind, set within spacious surroundings where students can take time for themselves. Whether it’s sitting beneath a tree, watching nature at work, or breathing in the stillness; Fields of Dreams is a place to be fully present; free from expectations or demands. By focusing on calm and connection, we create a safe and supportive environment that helps children feel safe, happy, and part of a community where they truly belong.
We welcome referrals for EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan), EOTAS (Education other than in School), and Local Authority placements, as well as Home Educators and private referrals from parents or carers.
There is no maximum group size; we can offer support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on the individual’s needs.
